Visit the Camp Wah-Tut-Ca website at http://www.wahtutca.net. It describes the camp week in detail.
Driving DirectionsWe will be leaving from the Methodist Church at 8:30am on Sunday, July 8th. There is a cookout on Friday, July 13th but boys usually leave before that. We need parents to help break camp starting at 1:00 and finishing at 3:00. Come up and let your scout show you around the camp!! Scouts can be signed out anytime after camp is broken down. If you are not able to pick up your scout, you need to arrange a ride and have it signed off on your health form ahead of time.
For new scouts:
Tents are not designed to keep
out bugs, just to keep out water. Bring a mosquito net and four 4 foot dowels or sections of 3/4" PVC pipe to hold up the bug netting which
will go around your cot inside the tent. Dowels or PVC pipe (cheaper) are available at Home Depot. Mosquito netting is available at Dick's Sporting Goods. Duct tape is really helpful in
attaching the dowels to the cot! Plans for a more elaborate Mosquito shelter are available (above link). This shelter can be reused ads a stand-alone shelter for future trips.
Below is the web address for the medical forms and related information that is needed for summer camp. Please print the form out and bring it to your son's doctor as soon as you can so that they have a little lead time to fill it out.
