For our trip of September 24-25 we will be camping on one of the Boston Harbor islands.  Bumpkin Island is available to us.  It is less-traveled, having only one group campsite which we have now reserved. We'll virtually have the island to ourselves, although there are a few individual campsites. During the day we will have ample opportunities for island exploration, skills work and Scout-themed games and activities. I'm putting together a brief presentation on this trip for our first troop meeting next week.

For our Boston Harbor Islands excursion, we will be taking a train into Boston to meet a ferry (it's a short walk, with packs!, from North Station) that will take us to the Islands.  Time TBA.

We will be returning Sunday morning on the Train that arrives in Hamilton at 12:12. You can meet your Scout there!  The  gear list for the weekend is available below.  Slips and payment will be due 9/20/11, but the troop will start collecting them at Monday's meeting.

Thanks so much,
